The last 48 hours have been crazy! Hasya woke up on Wednesday morning not herself. She seemed tired and very lethargic. Hailee had woken up with the sparrows at 5 a.m., so I assumed Hasya had just gotten too early a start. Unfortunately I could not keep her awake during the day. All she wanted to do was sleep, which is very unusual for her. By the afternoon I was starting to get very concerned and called a friend who is a pediatrician. She confirmed what I was feeling in my heart…I needed to get Hasya to the ER. Extreme fatigue without fevers was concerning.
In the ER they did all the routine blood work. Everything came back perfectly normal. Yet she could not keep her little eyes open–even while being pricked and poked. Later that night, after chatting to the doctors and knowing that nothing too serious was going on, I felt comfortable bringing her home.
Yesterday she was lethargic but a tiny little bit more awake. She is still very sleepy and really not herself. We have no idea what’s going on. One theory is that her medications (two which have a sedative effect) accumulated in her liver, released into her body, and knocked her out. Another thought is that she is having seizures which we cannot see. Today we will go back to her doctor and start looking into what is causing Hasya to be so sleepy and out of it.
We’re concerned…but trusting the ONE who is her Healer once again.
Would you please trust with us that we can get to the bottom of this and get her feeling so much better again? It breaks my heart seeing my happy little lovie so lethargic. We’re missing her sweet smile and infectious giggles around here. Hopefully we can help her feel better soon.
Thanks, friends! So appreciate your prayers once again.
