astonishing love

For what you have done
I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people.
And I will hope in your name,
for your name is good.
 Psalm 52:9
Oh, my goodness gracious!  I am absolutely speechless at the way you guys literally flooded in to help sweet Liliana.  To raise over $23,000 in just one day is truly a miracle.  That’s the only way I can describe it.  The body of Christ in action.
God’s faithfulness to provide for the orphan astounds me.  The compassionate hearts of His people is such a beautiful thing.
Thank you for caring deeply for one little orphan girl so desperately in need of coming home.  Thank you for your amazing generosity and your love poured out so sacrificially.  I am blown away.
I am so excited to share with you that Liliana has a family that has committed!  The process to adopt her has already begun.  I have been told that they are already paperwork ready (which means they have a current home study and USCIS approval), so the time frame is already shortened.  And since God has miraculously provided the finances, they really can just focus on getting to Liliana as soon as possible.  I have no idea who they are yet, but will be sure to share with you just as soon as I have permission.
Please keep Liliana in your prayers.  I know she’s a tough little fighter–just surviving as long as she has is a miracle. God must have such a special plan and purpose for her life.  Already her life is touching hearts and lives–and she’s not even home yet.  It’s all about God’s glory, isn’t it?  Let’s stand and believe that God will breath life into Liliana’s emaciated body so that she is able to hang on until her family can get to her.  Also, please trust that they can literally fly through the paperwork with zero delays.  As many of you know, the journey to adopt children is very often full of unforeseen delays. Thanks so much for praying.
As I have been thinking about Liliana and her painful, heartbreaking story, I cannot help but think about the many, many others just like her.  Sadly, there are a few other children in her condition in the same orphanage.  They all need out!  They all need nutrition, love, and a family.  Gosh, I wish we could help them all.  It breaks my heart.  I lie in bed at night thinking about what can possibly be done to help more of these precious, precious children come home into loving families.  I don’t have the answer.
I also wanted to publicly thank Chris and Mary Malone from the Eli Project for all their help with Liliana’s fundraiser.  Because so many have asked, Reece’s Rainbow does not allow grant funds for older children and when I needed a non-profit to receive the funds, they never hesitated! They immediately jumped in to help in any way they could. I am so thankful for their help and their Kingdom hearts. Thanks, guys.  You totally rock!
God is good and His people are amazing.

I will hope in His name–for His name is GOOD.
