the blessing of new photos

I woke up yesterday morning to a wonderful surprise!

New photos and three very sweet videos of our gorgeous new son.

Oh my goodness!  What a sweetie pie.  He sure has grown and is just so adorable!

Kael is 8 years old.  Even though he is very tiny for his age (weighs 27 pounds), he definitely has grown since the last photos were taken.  One of the videos shows him holding onto someones hands and trying to walk.  He is very skinny–but that will change in no time.  A lot of his cute little ways remind us so much of Hailee.  He is going to fit into our family beautifully.

When we showed our children these new pictures, the consensus was unanimous!  “He looks like Dad and Connor!”

We think so too.  He looks so much like Connor and his handsome Daddy.

Our ninth child. And the very first thumb-sucker in the family.

We are so in love with this boy.  We absolutely cannot wait to bring Kael and his sweet sister home and watch them blossom and grow in every way.

What treasure we have found!

Today I am so humbled and thankful for God’s amazing gifts.  Not in earthly possessions or great wealth.

But in these.  The precious ones whom the Father continues to bless us with.

The blessing of a little boy who has waited for years and years for someone to come for him.

With a heart overflowing with thankfulness.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”  Matthew 6:19-21
