praying. trusting. hopeful.

I hope you have all had a stunning weekend. Sunday evening always seems to come way too quickly for me.

Life has been busy and I have so much to share with you, but I want to get Vanya’s fundraiser over first–he is my top priority right now.  Many of you have written to ask me if a family has committed yet.

Sadly, no.  Not yet.  So many have inquired and asked for more information on Vanya, which Chris Malone has passed on, but there has not been a formal commitment yet.  

Please continue to pray and trust that his family will find him soon.  Every day matters. We just have no idea what his orphanage is going to do.  Every day that Vanya remains there is truly a gift.  The orphanage director has been told about this campaign to raise money and find a family for Vanya, and we think he may try to keep him in the orphanage for as long as possible.  But…there are no guarantees.  Oh how we DO NOT want this boy to be transferred! That would be so awful. We have no idea where they will put him, which is a terrible thing. My heart aches at the thought of what could potentially happen to a healthy, smart, energetic, little boy.  And one whose only dream in life is to have a family he can call his own.

“Please, God, bring a family for sweet Vanya.”

I refuse to give up hope.  I really believe with all my heart that a family will commit before it is too late.

Chris Malone has shared with me that he has been inundated with emails from people asking him how one goes about starting an adoption.  What a thrill to hear that many, many hearts are being opened to the millions of children who wait for families all around the world.  The need is just so humongous.

The Eli Project has a lot of information right here for anyone who would be interested in how to get the process for a Ukrainian adoption started.  You can also contact Chris directly.  The Eli Project has so many beautiful children on their website–children who are very often overlooked or not considered for adoption. Breaks my heart.

Okay, friends, that’s it for now. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate your help with this fundraiser to save the life of one little angel boy. Thank you for donating and sharing Vanya’s story everywhere you possibly can.  He only needs ONE family to commit.  Please don’t stop sharing…we NEED a family soon. Very soon. I know they’re out there somewhere….they just need to find their son.

Thank you for praying Vanya all the way home.  Thank you for helping the Chip-In to grow in the next few days.  You guys are totally amazing and I am so thankful for your help with this.
