~~~ Like all of you, we are absolutely heartbroken over the devastation in Japan. There are no words. The images we see on the news leave us speechless.  I ache for the thousands and thousands of people who have lost loved ones, or have no idea if someone they love is alive or not.  I simply cannot imagine. It’s at times like these that I beg the Lord to return.  I long for heaven when every tear will be wiped away and there will be no more sorrow, no more pain.
~~~  We’re trying to get over sickness in our home.  Seven of us came down with the nasties that seem to be doing the rounds.  No fun at all.  Poor Harper always seems to get it far worse than anyone else in the family.  Poor baby.  She has been sick for days and days.  Just a virus, so there is nothing they can give her to take it away.  Last weekend she got croup again.  Thankfully, after lots of steam, she was able to breath and we avoided another run to the ER.  I feel so bad for her.  She really struggles.

We have an appointment with the cardiologist next week to look into getting Harper’s PDA (heart condition) taken care of.  It puts her at such a high risk for infection.  A few months ago the doctor chose to wait a while and not perform the surgery in too much of a hurry. Hopefully now, after some time has passed, he will agree to it.  Especially after the hard time she has had with illness this winter. We’ll see what happens next week.

Aaaahhh, yes, we have been having quite a few hat days recently.  Those days when Hailee just cannot leave the back of her ears alone.  She scratches them until they bleed.  On days like these, she rocks her little pilot caps, made with love by Miss B.  Some habits are just so hard to break.  This is one of those for Hailee.  After five years of self-soothing behavior in a crib, some things are just going to take longer to get over.  We understand completely.

~~~  I have made the decision to take down the fundraising families page that I had on my sidebar.  Truthfully, I am in a season of my life where it is impossible for me to keep it up to date. Most families I had listed on there never kept me up to date on where they were at with their fundraising efforts.  By the time I eventually got around to checking their blogs, I discovered that some were even home with their children already.  Unfortunately, I just do not have the time to sit and go through each and every blog to keep the information current.  So I decided to just take it down.
I am still more than happy to mention families who are fundraising in posts.
~~~ Sometimes I am so very thankful that the ONLY thing I need from a little impromptu photo shoot are their legs.  Nothing else,  just their legs.  Oh, and their cute little feet, of course.

‘Coz there are some days when legs are about the only things that will cooperate….

There are days when mom’s crazy photo ideas are the last thing on their agenda.

When they would rather be anywhere but here.

Go ahead…Kiss your sister, look at each other, whine, pout, tell me ten thousand times that this is a bad idea, ask me again and again why in the world I even need a picture of your legs, pull funny faces, and remind me just one more time how many pictures I already have on my computer.  Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I get it.

No worries, Honey’s. Legs…just keep your legs still.

Okay?

VICTORY!

Mission accomplished.

Voila! We have a new header.

Nothing that a little cropping can’t solve.

Hope you’re having a blessed weekend, friends.
