Yesterday we went back to Denver to see her surgeon and ended up in the ER. After many tests to try and find the cause of her high temperatures, we now know that she is fighting some kind of infection. \u00a0Definitely not what she needs right now. The good news is that they don&#8217;t believe it&#8217;s in her wound (which looks great). <em>That<\/em> would be a terrible setback. \u00a0She more than likely picked up something while in the hospital. Her tiny body has been fighting so hard to heal from a massive surgery and she just doesn&#8217;t have any reserves to fight anything else. \u00a0We hope to get confirmation today about exactly what we&#8217;re dealing with and how to move forward from here.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, after an IV of antibiotics, they allowed me to bring her home late last night.
