Okay. So you all know that the orphan cause is something I am passionate about. It’s the thing that makes my brain work overtime. I lie in bed at night wondering how on earth I can help more families and more children come home. Not a day goes by without several e-mails finding their way into my inbox–pleas for help. I wish there was more that I could do. I absolutely do not have any special gift in raising money or anything. God is just so faithful to provide for the orphan. He really is.
Anyway.
I have an idea, and I was wondering if some of you would like to be part of it.
I have noticed that more and more eBay stores, etsy stores, and various independent consultants are trying to help families who are adopting. Many kind-hearted folks are willing to donate a percentage of their profits to an adopting family. I think it’s a fabulous idea. What a great way to shop for a good cause and help a family who could really use a little boost in their adoption fundraising. I love that.
When we committed to adopting Haven a few years ago, my friend Kelly was one of the first people to jump in and help us out. She is one very talented mama who makes the most extraordinary girly stuff–she donated her profits to our adoption. It was such a huge blessing.
So I was wondering….
Do you or someone you know have an online store that helps families who are adopting children? Or, would you like to start helping by sowing some of your profits into the rescue of an orphan?
I am working on a list of stores/businesses which help adoptions. The purpose will be to connect families who are adopting with businesses who are willing to help.

Please help me to spread the word. I am looking for all stores/consultants who are willing to be a blessing to some amazing families who have said yes to God and are bringing children home from the far ends of the earth. It’s true, you know…you don’t have to adopt a child yourself to be a part of the solution to the orphan crisis! There are so many ways to help. This is just one of them.
Next month is Adoption Awareness Month. I am hoping to have a list up sometime during the month of November. I hope it will be a blessing to business owners and adopting families. It will become a permanent page on my navigation bar.
