embryo adoption FAQ

As many of you know, one of the ways we’re sharing our embryo adoption journey is by making short videos.  We’re partnering with the amazing people at Snowflake® to tell the world that these tiny lives matter so very much.  These videos will eventually be used to create an awareness of the many, many embryos who remain frozen and the blessing of embryo adoption.  For the next few videos we will be answering some of the questions we have received on this journey.

We are humbled to be able to share our story in this way.  The absolute desire of our hearts is that you would know that God doesn’t look down from heaven and try to find the best, the most able, or the most desirable families on the earth to take care of the fatherless. That certainly would NOT be us. The Father only looks for those who are willing–faults, flaws, imperfections and all.  It’s just amazing to me what He can do with a willing heart and a yielded life.  You only have to read one book in the Bible to know that most times God uses the most unlikely of people to do the things on His heart.  It’s all about His glory shining brightly.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Gladys Aylward, a missionary to China. “I wasn’t God’s first choice for what I’ve done for China. I don’t know who it was. It must have been a man…a well-educated man. I don’t know what happened. Perhaps he died. Perhaps he wasn’t willing…and God looked down…and saw Gladys Aylward… And God said – “Well, she’s willing.”

I am very sure that I wasn’t God’s first choice for these four treasures. But I am so thankful that God looked down from heaven and saw me–a very imperfect person who was willing.  No words can ever express how humbled I am by this journey and how thankful I am for the opportunity to try and give these babies the best possible chance I can to have LIFE.

No matter the outcome, my heart will forever be grateful.
