Good morning, friends.
Thank you all for your continued prayers for our Hasya. She is still struggling with fevers which are spiking way too high. Yesterday we went back to Denver to see her surgeon and ended up in the ER. After many tests to try and find the cause of her high temperatures, we now know that she is fighting some kind of infection. Definitely not what she needs right now. The good news is that they don’t believe it’s in her wound (which looks great). That would be a terrible setback. She more than likely picked up something while in the hospital. Her tiny body has been fighting so hard to heal from a massive surgery and she just doesn’t have any reserves to fight anything else. We hope to get confirmation today about exactly what we’re dealing with and how to move forward from here.
Thankfully, after an IV of antibiotics, they allowed me to bring her home late last night. We will do everything we can to stay out of the hospital.
And so today we trust the ONE who calms the storm and parts the sea. The ONE who has been Hasya’s healer for almost nineteen years will see her to the other side of this too. Of that, I am certain.
Today we choose to be still and know.
We are so thankful for your prayers.
